Annual Apple Pie Contest:

Rules are simple and same as in years past:

1. Main ingredient must be APPLE
2. Pies must be made entirely from SCRATCH (no frozen crusts)
3. Pies must be delivered to the market tent no later than 10 a.m.
4. Each entry should include an ingredient list, a recipe and and for bonus points in the event of a tie:  a short poem, story or comment about your pie. “Pie”-ku, works too.

There will be three age categories this year: 11 and under, 12 to 17 and 18 and up…
Pies will be judged on flavor, appearance and integrity. Originality is encouraged as our “group” efforts.
Our judges are: Local musician and pie connoisseur Milton (from the band Milton), Helen Godin from By the Way Bakery and Deborah Tyler — theactual Pie Lady of Nyack.

So dust off those rolling pins and start thinking about your entry!
