May 5th Market News
Dear Shoppers,
With our weather changing 30+ degrees in the span of a week it has been difficult to find the right time to start gardening. This weekend, temperatures promise to return back to what is normal for early May so there's little risk of heatstroke from working in the sun. Most of our produce vendors have starter plants to get the garden going. Stop by Sunsprout, Deep Roots, and Concklins to pick up kale, basil, and even lemongrass. Happy gardening!
Tomorrow is First Village Coffee's final market. Fortunately for them (but sad for us) their Ossining cafe is bustling and they just don't have the capacity to make the trip down for the summer market. Be sure to stock up on Irving Farm beans and Peaceful Provisions doughnuts until you can get up to the café.
The weekly summer market season begins June 2nd with an expanded—and exciting—roster of vendors, some new but many who will be familiar to market shoppers, like Larchmont Charcuterie. Daniel is making some guest appearance before the summer season with new products. Stop by his tent for a taste of the new duck prosciutto .
See you at the market!
