Tomatoes galore! And a new cheese maker!
19 august 2016 Dear Shoppers,
We're excited to introduce you to our newest cheese vendor-Casa Del Caciocavallo Farms. Caciocavallo is similar to a mild provolone or aged mozzarella and has been made in Southern Italy since at least the 14th century. Casa hand-rolls it using the freshest milk (from their own adorable cows) and a technique passed down from generation to generation. Try it melted in pizza or sliced in salads.
Clean Ridge Soap Company is back and if you're going away during the last two weeks of summer, pick up their soy candles. They are the perfect travel size!
Tomatoes, tomatoes, and more tomatoes! A zillion varieties, colors, and sizes. Stop by Neversink Farm, Taliaferro, or Sunsprout to stock up-for canning and sauce making.
It's all peach season and we're thrilled that Pie Lady & Son has sourced their partnered with The Orchards of Conklin to bring you three different peach pies-Raspberry Peach, Peach Walnut Crumble, and Peach Pie. Grab one while they last or else you'll have to wait until next summer.
The Knife Sharpener is back so don't forget your blades. It's also Gleaning Saturday where we collect donations for the food pantry. The shelves are particularly bare this time of year so please be as generous as you can.
See you at the market!
