You may want to take advantage of a snow day to clear out some room in your freezer and refrigerator as this Saturday will surely be a day to stock up for the holidays.

Here are a few things you should look out for:

R & M Farms has whole hams for your holiday table. Ryan suggests pre-ordering these as they tend to fly.

For the December markets, Mangalitsa by Mosefund has paired up with a Portuguese farmer in New Jersey who is raising Iberian pigs and making classic Iberian ham, chorizo, guanciale and yes, lardo.

This is Larchmont Charcuterie's LAST visit until March or April... Daniel's country pate freezes beautifully and his saucisson sec has a very respectable shelf life so don't hold back.

The same goes for the smoked trout at Hudson Valley Fisheries. Wouldn't it be nice to start New the New Year with some smoked trout on a slice of lightly-toasted pain de mie from Bien Cuit?

Especially when followed by a fancy blondie from Blondery? Make sure you pre-order her cake in a jar this week. You can catch Auzerais making her popular dessert here.

Homespun Chili was not able to come to our rescheduled Sunday market earlier this month so John is bringing twice the stock for those of you hooked on his wide and flavorful selection of chilis. (Don't you wish you had some of that Rockin' Moroccan to weather out the storm tomorrow?) A white bean escarole and Parmesan soup from Jody's Kitchen would also do just fine.

If you fancy toasting the new year without alcohol, consider stocking up on Champagne OM Tea kombucha. Sparkling, festive and so good for you, too!

Still need a few last-minute gifts? Silvia's Kitchen has some festively wrapped boxes of alfajores and brigadeiros and Tatjana Kunst of Mermud Studio is back her stunning pottery (and sweet ornaments).

If you can, pre-order some frozen cookie dough from Wave Hill Breads.

We've all been baking from scratch since March so there's no need to feel any guilt about going "slice and bake" in the busy lead-up to Christmas. (These might come in handy if you need to leave some cookies out for a jolly home invader on the 24th.)

It's been a slow and steady build, but folks are finally discovering the extraordinary texture and flavor combinations of Aya Hummus. My current fave? Her seasonal "pumpkin chipotle" made with chickpeas, pumpkin puree, olive oil, sesame paste, lime juice, vinegar, and chipotle. So delicious with Four E Farm's crunchy, meadow-green celery.

Several families are quarantining this week in our Village. Please offer to pick up groceries for someone if you can. Our ace "pre-order pickup" crew is ready to help at the market entrance.

It's impossible to say how the storm will affect our farmers' ability to come on Saturday. We've invited an extra farmer to join us in case someone is unable to come.

This is our "gleaning" week, and it is, after all, the season of giving, so won't you consider making a donation to our food pantry collection? Just click on the donate button below.

Speaking of the storm, we've been assured that our market space will be free of snow mounds so the vendors can still set up at a safe distance. However, we can't guarantee there won't be mounds of snow in the shopper parking lot. This might be a good day to walk to the market if you can! You can devour your Leila's Crepe before you trek home...

See you at the market!
