No kidding! Painted Goat Farm returns this week...

Have you been craving their goat feta and cheese buttons cloaked in ash or fresh aromatic herbs? We are so happy to have them back in the fold. Also joining us this week, Nick Storrs and his traveling Homegrown Kitchen Nursery.

Not only does Nick sell seeds and seedlings for all the aromatic herbs and produce you want to grow yourself but he also will come to your home and show you how to grow the perfect kitchen garden. Plus, he's one of the nicest guys around. Oh, and speaking of "growing," Nick became a father again while he's been away so don't forget to congratulate him!

If all this talk of planting has you dreaming of local blooms you're in luck. Harlem Valley Homestead is bringing the first market tulips of the year. And, just when you are ready to tackle your garden, in comes Ready Set Sharp to help you get your pruning shears in tip top shape for culling, trimming, pruning etc.

Gardening makes you thirsty, there's no doubt about it. A tall, cold glass of Abandoned Hard Cider made with apples from "abandoned" orchards throughout the Hudson Valley is just the ticket.

And, Bombay Chutney is finally back after a winter hiatus. Lamb (and any takeout meal from Calcutta Wrap 'n Roll) just hasn't been the same without her mint chutney. Many folks don't know that when they dropped "Emerald" from their name, they expanded their product line: in addition to their frozen samosas look for simmer and curry sauces, too!

Derek, the chef at 3x3 Kitchen doesn't like to rest on his laurels. Last week he brought a new chickpea flour turnover filled with porcini that was outstanding. You don't have to be avoiding gluten to enjoy their super flavorful sweet and savory baked goods.

Easter is not far off. Luxx Chocolat, Raw Chocolate Love and La Petite Occasion are all poised to up your Easter basket game. La Petite Occasion has some of her mocha treats and is back to selling salt harvested in Syracuse she uses for her salted caramels. Luxx is bringing elegant chocolate bars, as is the always smiling Shimon from RCL. His positive energy is as uplifting as his organic chocolate.

Don Carvajal is bringing an espresso machine to the market this week. If you thought his coffee was delicious simply brewed, just wait until you taste it in a cappuccino.

Don't forget to pick up some kimchi this week from Forward Roots. And, If you're doing some spring cleaning right now, don't forget to bring a bag of used clothing or textiles to our GreenTree Recycling Bin!

A note about parking: As you know it's been tough to navigate parking at the commuter lot during market hours.

From here on out the southernmost "bay" of the lot will be reserved for vendor parking. Shoppers should enter the commuter lot from either one of the other two parking bays, You MUST exit via Cropsey Lane so once you get to the top of either bay, you MUST turn left. Please exit and enter again if you are unsuccessful at finding a spot right away. Do not head down the next bay over in the wrong direction. We've ordered signs to make it more clear...but until then we hope this helps. Also please watch for pedestrians as you turn onto Cropsey Lane. Pedestrians: please walk inside the bright market cones and watch for cars exiting the lot.

Thank you for your patience!

See you at the market!
